If this movie does not get Best Picture at the Academy awards I will be greatly disturbed. There have been some good movies this year but this one beats them all hands down. Besides Best Picture, this film definitely deserves Best Score because the music is both powerful and enchanting and is to the same high standards as the filming of this Fantasy Epic. If the movie content itself won't do it, the music will surely put a spell on you.

The lord of the rings the fellowship of the ring characters. While this movie was critically acclaimed during it's time, it hasn't been able to withstand the test of time. With it's fair share of unbelievably long plot, drawn out scenes, and unlikable characters; it doesn't mean it's a bad film. Everyone else in the Fellowship is only in it for a chance to get the ring. Another big issue is the movie is way too long and I've typically fallen asleep during my watching. Other than that, you might enjoy it if you have about 3 and half hours to spend. There is something in this film for the people who've read the books.
